Please, Talk to Me by Peter Evanoff

From my inner world, centered in silence,
            I listen to you.

When you speak, it is not like a passing breeze
or raindrops lost in the river.

I keep your words in my soul.

I prepared myself with devotion,
searching for light in a hidden temple.

I left, in gray and forgotten swamps,
my own shames and problems
so that free I could come to your side and talk.

            Now I am your silence.

            Please, talk to me.
